I've just re-read Demon Revealed and it struck me that in Tory claiming Reah he has taken away her ability to carry children with her other mates!! err, what?! That is such an awful thing to do to someone you love without speaking to them first. But in keeping with the male dominance theme, Auri had been told beforehand! I would feel terrible if I had multiple mates but couldn't have a child with each of them if I chose because the claiming marks of one took that option away from me. It would have been a different story if Reah had been involved in the decision.

Come on you men of Lissaverse, up your game!

For now that may be the case but remember for awhile lissa could not have kids and now she has 5 kids.

I agree that there is a lot to be said for the right of informed choice.

This is something I did not know. If a woman is claimed by a High Deomon and has her neck imprinted with his teeth marks she can't have children by other males? Lissa was claimed by Kifirin and had Gavin's child in the traditional way. I missed this on the first reading of Demon Revealed, so will reread.
