Right been thinking about this since the first book in the series, and we now know Quinn was created by Liron. Everyone (character wise) is assuming she is a new mortal race, but what if she is actually Lirons daughter..... Kifrin is another God who was originally created/born by a more senior God. If she is a a lower level God power wise ie powers that be or even nameless level its posible that she has a mortal form and an immortal form a bit like Reah. That would would possibly make it possible for her to have died to be bought back by the wise ones. I know some of you more intellectual members may be able to give me logical reasons why this might be a wrong supposition but I thought I would give it an airing and see what the response is.

On Ladydears idea that Ashe has taken Terret to hide Quinn actually sounds logical, and what if he's modified him taking away the ability to place obsession but given him back his ability to speak and keeping the ability to "hide" his and those with him presence. Bears thinking about and the fact that all three of the original mighty are AWOL so to speak is highly suspicious!!!!

I like your theory robbytonk about Quinn being Liron's daughter. We know that all the Mighty were reborn into mortal bodies, maybe Quinn was too. But since Sirria was destroyed I wonder what her role is now, as she was created to protect it.

Bleek

Barc was six when the disease came. That was nearly eight sun-turns ago. The disease ravaged his body for two sun-turns before he was placed in stasis—it would have killed him, otherwise. In stasis, he still looks eight. If he were wakened, he would have only an eight-year-old's memories.

So much has happened since he was placed in stasis and locked in a spelled glass coffin by Deris and his sister, Daris. At times, I worry that I will die, leaving Barc to this fate forever—lying still within a glass coffin, waiting to be awakened with power so he might breath his last breaths alone and unloved.

My soul belongs to Vardil Cayetes. Not only in payment for keeping my son alive; the deeds I've performed in service to Cayetes ensures that his grip on me—and my fate—remains tight.

I no longer recognize the Blevakian in the mirror; I have traveled so far from what I was. I only see a murderer, now. Someone my child would not be proud of.

I have no choice, I keep telling myself before turning back to Cayetes' latest demand.

Regarding the latest snippet:

Hopefully this is someone currently in Cayetes' camp who can be swayed to Quinn's side after she heals his son?

I was thinking the same thing.

Got it on my mind to change my ways, but I don't think I can be anything other than me.
