Did anyone else catch the fact Merrill was listed as Merrill Leopard during a meeting with Norian? (Demon Revealed, location 2288) This is the first time I remember a last name applied to Merrill. Strange since I thought Merrill was a Roman soldier when he was turned and Leopard is not Roman. Considering how old Merrill is, he has probably had to change his name time after time.
I did catch that and thought it might be a reference to his Saa Thalarr animal, I've yet to go back and check. I have a vague recollection of someone, probably Wlokek, using his full name in one of the earlier books, something else I need to go back and check. I did however check the glossary and his roman name is listed as Titus Marius Merula, what a mouthful, Leopard is easier to remember.
