Reah's destiny

Reah's destiny was created by Larry
Okay, destiny to save the High Demon race could have been fulfilled with one birth, but I think it is more than just a brood mare kind of thing. I believe that Reah needs to convince the High Demons that they need to stop trying to maintain racial purity.

Look at the Elemaiya - Less than half blood are more powerful at the expense of immortality.

Look at breeding rates ... how often do full blood High Demon reproduce? (About once every 75 years for those not paying attention.) Compare that to Reah ...

Loss of immortality ... honestly considering what the High Demon race has done with it ... is losing that to save the race a bad thing?

Reading is a gift to yourself that you can share with everyone.

Reah is only what (?) 1/4 High Demon by blood. Yet Reah can make a full Thifilatha turn. When this ability was revealed it surprised everyone. Proof positive that mating outside the race will work. So the High Demons have to decide what they want. The race to die or increase thier numbers by cross marrying with other races.

Larry, never even considered this angle. Great suggestion of Reah saving the High Demon race by adopting a new paradigm: searching beyond thier world for mates.

@ Pony - If you believe in destiny (i.e. if it is destined / fated it will happen regardless of what you do) any change of that destiny invalidates the entire line. It was stated that the death of Reah's daughter was not fated to happen, thus the entire line is invalidated. Of course this is only my belief, you are welcome to disagree with me ... and I don't write the books.
