I agree with David about Connie's books. She does not have 35 books in one series. The core people are same but there is starting point and an ending point to to her series. For example, I think Cori will turn up in another series but there was definitely an ending to the RD series. The series usually introduce new characters with one new character being central to the new action. This is one of the reasons why I think I am still reading Connie's books. There are few series I read past the 7 or 8 books and less than that if the book centers around one main character. The books either start to get boring, have similar plots or the characters are put into ridiculous situations at do not make sense other than to continue the series.
