Ok. anyone wondering why Lendill is just now starting to show powers? Is it just late maturation? Or something.. else? Good or bad? Will they go to his head? Will he ever confess to his father? He mentioned his father can't keep a secret. Does the elf seer already know he is getting powers? Things to think about.
I think khadil knows when he helped track Zeller he said he helped his son and his mate. Paraphrasing that one day he hoped his son (lendill) would see his value to his race.
Errr ... maturation and Lendill ... being used in conjunction?? ... sorry, can't see that one.
As to why his powers are "developing" ... hormones?? ... seriously, it's probably because he stopped trying, usually the biggest impediment to success is oneself.

Could Lendills new powers because his father officially named him his heir? I first thought somehow it was tied to his being mated but their marriage happened around 3 years prior to the manifestation. Maybe its like Grey House or Karathians having to have their powers turned on with the rites ceremony. Lendills dad named him succesor therefore triggering his latent powers. I'm obviously just throwing out random ideas here!
when did lendill's dad name him heir? i wonder if there is a way to block someones powers? maybe his dad wanted him to figure things out without power than when he was ready to unlock them? or maybe when he gets to a certain ago or something in the timeline happens? idk
a) I think part of the reason he was such a jerk was because he was a bachelor for so long he had no clue what his woman was thinking. His comment to Reah about how she saw him and others just coming for sex kinda cemented that for me.
b) I think that the release of his powers is more related to the mating. Not the physical part, but the actually living out of breah-mul, deah-mul, cheah-mul. There is power in Love, as we have found out several times.
I think that earlier that Lendill wanted Reah. I think he felt the mate bond. But now -- I think he actually LOVES her and I think that love released his abilities.
I'm a hopeless romantic I know - and he still does have a lot of making up to do.
