We'll guys and galls it's another great book and it's nice to see some of the secondary characters taking the lead. In some respects I see now why Connie has left publishing this series till now. As I understand it she has rewrote some of the backstory to accommodate events from the "later" series's if that's the right way to describe it as the sar thalar series is technically a prequel series although from comments Connie has made in the past she had had most of the history/stories written years ago. Personally I am hoping the next book will concentrate on Conner as the short stories Connie has already published in various places have really wetted my appetite for more.

Oh fiddlesticks I've just moseyed over to the subtledemon.com site to see when the next sar thalar book will be to discover the next books working title is Justin's story so I gather no Connor centered book just yet unless that sneaky Connie's new finder series has something to do with Connor , lol probably wishful thinking. Though Connie has promised the series will have a link to the leath Veronis universe.

I thought the book gave more insight to Adam, Kiarra, and Joey. Kiarra in the later books seem so much in charge while this book showed a different side of her (or maybe just younger?). I really liked Joey in this novel. He is totally different from most of the vampires in the series. Before this, he was just one of the healers in my mind but now he has a personality and feelings. Good book!

I think that you are seeing the wounded side of Kiarra, more than the younger side. She has taken charge whenever she felt it necessary throughout the book. Healing a violation of the type Saxom caused Kiarra, takes more than just time … it also takes trust, love, and heaping side of ass kicking (Saxom's ass … in case anyone was wondering).

There was a lot of backstory and character development all around, another solid outing … .

Great book... I am glad no one it the book cooked or baked. I didn't have the urge to bake anything after reading it. Then I would have eat at least some of what I cooked. I blame Connie for most of my newly acquired cooking/snacking habits
