Seems to me the story takes place after a post nuclear war. There are people with power eg. Sheilding and such and those who rely on gun powder. They seem to have high levels of radiation in places, eg merrian was left powerless to die. Keriok stepped him to that place. Kyri and pottles talking towards the the end of who should not have died yet. That kieriok should not be tied to these little war going on. It kind of harkens back to the god of wars structure where you had roque gods messings with everything and love
having to change what was for a few. I wonder if this is one of the universes they spoke about in god of wars series. I love that sherra wants to empower her fellow black roses. She seems to be like a karathian who can awaken others power. I cant wait for book 2 just to see what happens
Sounds about right. Kyri was saying that Kerok should not be tied to the palace as he was needed more elsewhere (probably the front). The only thing Connie has said so far about this universe is that it in not the same as her other series. So we have three separate universe going now.
The Blood Destiny universe.
The Seattle Elemental universe.
The Black Rose Sorceress universe.
Yes it is nice to see a main character spreading the knowledge instead of being held to secrecy that is detrimental to all the characters.

Lots of info to digest, like the phantom /adehi, being a dream walker himself. I also wonder if kaaos is the king that kyri refused to marry. Its like, keriok family fighting for an inheritance, which is az-ca. Then is a lot of hurt feelings that hurt people mostly the innocent. Wow is all I can say.
