Larry, this one is for you. (lol) Reah's destiny is save the High Demon race. If you take this statement literally it does not look good for Reah's future. Or is it meant like a feline momma who has two female kittens, then each kitten has two female kittens and on and on and on. This has bugged me for a while. Just tell me if I again have too much time on my hands.

Wylend could be acting under outside influence one would think in 27,000 + years he would mature a bit beyond the teenage angst stage. While the snit seems to be in line the other actions appear a bit too childish to be in character ... look how many trusted advisors he lost with this one snit ... if this were normal I doubt he would still be ruling.
Tory - I can't do it ... I have to stand behind what Iv'e said before ... he needs to grow up.
Cheedas - Sorry I don't see him as a mate at this time, a good friend and fellow foodie sure, but mate ... not so much.
Mindcloud & mates - I think the mindcloud is something adversely affecting Reah's mates not something they are casting.

Do we know what the mindcloud is? I'm wondering if the mindcloud thing can be on more than one person. I'd like to believe that both Wylend AND Tory are both under some magical influence and not just huge jerks. I agree with Larry that if Wylend was prone to tantrums and reckless and impulsive behavior at this level all those around him wouldn't be reacting they way they did. Two people renounced their Karathian citizenship thingy in response to this behavior and others were obviously shocked and upset about it.
I also think that if Tory was trying to prove that he isn't immature by going out and getting married to someone after knowing her for a day or two...... well, he really missed his goal! If Tory is not under the mindcloud spell then I would kick him to the curb. He and Reah can help the High Demon Race by her being inseminated with help from her Larentii.
On Lendill and Radolf, I have no attachment to them. I don't really see a deep connection.
I don't belive that Rylend will ever be one of Reah's mates. When Rylend is telling Wylend he's. Renouncing his citizenship he says, " Tory's my brother, and Reah is my sister."
