Well, these are Warlocks / Witches we are talking about here ... they have very long lives so Morgett may have been a Ra'Ak for a long time. While the young Ra'Ak, especially at spawn stage(s), seem to have an imperative to procreate the older ones seem to have more discretion.

The Elemaiya as race just can't seem to keep their pants on ... I'm not sure if it's a racial flaw or learned behavior. Since some of their children seem to follow their parents behavior while others don't, I would lean towards custom over racial flaw.

You would have to ask Connie for a definitive answer :-).

I always got the impression the Elemaiya slept around for half breed shock troops for their never ending light/dark war. They seem to arrogant to sleep with lesser races like humans for any other reason than that.

Could very well be. I think the ones that were spared were the ones that kept their pants on ... or at a minimum treated their children with love and respect.

There are bonus points in not pissing off one of the Mighty :-).

True, but it was Lissa's judgement that took their immortality, and she wasn't a mighty at the time.

I think all Ashe really did was gather the ones LIssa let live and hadn't sent to the prison planet for their crimes, in other words by the time he got to them they were all good.

But yeah, it wasn't because they were screwing around, I don't think Lissa cared about that. It was how their children were treated, so I agree completely with that much.

Come to think about it, it was more because they sided with and worked with the Ra'ak that they got schooled, the part where they treated their kids like crap was just something she hated, but not really worthy of sentencing. It was something she fixed though during sentencing though, no more traveling to other worlds and leaving half breeds behind.

This is mrs. Shuttles reply to my question about the ra'ak.
"Ra'Ak are originally humanoid, who are made ra'ak by another Ra'ak's bite. Morgett was humanoid before the turn (similar to humans becoming vampire). Morgett and his brother, Hegatt, were both karanthian humanoid ; Hegatt remained humonoid until his death and fathered the twins, who are still humanoid. She corrected herself about Hegatt being the twins grandfather."
