Awesome book sat up most of the night reading it. And that's all I can say for the present.

*** SPOILERS START HERE ***

Hey, it's been twenty four hours... and thirty something minutes.

Holy crap, a lot happened. I don't even know where to start. The end with Zaria didn't shock me too much, all the people that died kind of did, even though it makes a lot of sense given their histories.

Anyone figure out why Hank wanted to wait two weeks? Was it so that ending was assured and Reah was put on the throne, and all the corruption to the high demon race was finally wiped away?

Another series down. I can't wait until the next one!

I guess that's Blackwing Pirates, time to set my countdown clock :D

If I had to guess. I would say that there was a lot of things that had to happen before, and things that could have happened to prevent the final reckoning.

For one, Jayd needed the opportunity to redeem himself that was offered. Had Zaria changed what was sooner that test may not have been valid allowing the "flaw" to continue forward.

I think that the Mighty strive to keep a balance and act, mostly, when that balance is out of kilter. The High Demon race failed their test in an epic manner, so now we see that failure balanced. The race can continue forward without the flaw and a much healthier attitude. Any bets that there are a lot of female High Demons births before the male to female births balance out now?

I also think it was important for some of the humanoid population of Kifiren to spend a week traveling the tunnel with Lexsi and Kordy, and to fight with them and Reah in the battle against Jaydevik's army so that they would trust and accept Reah as the new Queen with Lexsi as her Heir apparent.

This book did a great job of bringing together a lot of stories that were left open in the past. If Connie keeps all this in her head, I'm in awe of her plotting and planning abilities! I would need sixteen whiteboards covered with diagrams and post-it notes.

Loved the way she used her experience cruising New Zealand and Australia within the story. Those countries should be paying her for advertising their tourism. (Minus the R"aak invasion!)

Do you guys think this is the end of the Lissaverse?
Felt like it to me. I'm going now, before I start crying.

"Someone once said a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters could reproduce the works of Shakespeare.
The internet has proven that this is not true."
