This is one of my favorite books in the Blood Destiny series because we get to see Lissa when she is free and not under the thumb of the vampire council. She greatly impressed Dragon and Karzac, which based on their first reactions to receiving the help of a vampire was quite a surprise. I got the feeling that they didn't have much respect for the average vampire. But they came to love Lissa too. And I loved how she when she got the chance to act for herself, she immediately went out to help others (saving prisoners, killing priests and accidentally killing the Ra'ak spawn, which again impressed Dragon who seems like a hard man to impress).
it's one of my favorites of the series also. following her as she gets to freelance after being repressed by all the older vamps back on earth for so long, was very refreshing.
I liked Blood Wager too, as she finds her way through her new life as a baby vamp
Got it on my mind to change my ways, but I don't think I can be anything other than me.
