I just can't fathom how he made it into the Saa Thalaar? He is like a vamp with bipolar disorder. He's not bad in blood Queen, but then in Ashe's book's he is back to his old megalomaniac self?
I guess since the vamps didn't remember Lissa, he doesn't remember learning from his mistakes either
Got it on my mind to change my ways, but I don't think I can be anything other than me.
- The Pretty Reckless "Light Me Up"
At the time this topic was started Blood Queen had just come out, Wlodek had very, very, few redeeming qualities. Basically until Fox got ahold of him he appeared to be heading down the "Evil Dictator" career path.
I am not using Evil lightly either, to beat a person, lie to them, then turn around and use them to meet your own ends, and try to push them into an unsuitable role / career path; while thinking there is nothing wrong with that simply because you have lived longer is, at a minimum, borderline Evil.
I am really glad Fox turned him around.
Reading is a gift to yourself that you can share with everyone.
I have a lot of respect for Wlodek. He is easier to get on with than some senior managers I could name. I wouldn't mind working with him. Don't diss the Honoured One.
In the days BC (before Connie) the greatest author of fantasy was John Bunyan. My favourite is 'The Holy War'. You can find it free on Gutenberg.

I would guess Wlodek turned from a dark path at the end of Ashe's series. Pretty much right after Bree's visit to his office he started to change. Of course Fox probably had a lot to do with continuing that trend, maybe one of the Saa thalarr books will give us more information on it.
Either way, Wlodek was much worse to Ashe than he was to Lissa IMO. But who knows, Charles took credit for him not being even worse.
