My hands shook as I kneaded bread dough; the bread would be set to rise and then baked to serve with dinner.
You not worry, Bekzi soothed. We deal with Blackmantle, same as we deal with crazy daughter.
We haven't met the crazy great-grandchildren yet, I pointed out while punching the mound of dough with a fist. They're in their teens, and that makes it worse. Who knew the family would be a tree-full of nutjobs?

Hraede
Kellik of Abenott
Even Rigo thought me dead; I'd kept away from him so long. Yes, once I'd been a noble in the King's court, a thousand years before Rigovarnus I ascended the throne of Hraede. I'd chosen to make Rigo vampire, and he, in turn had chosen those to make after him.
They'd kept Hraede safe from harm, ruling from the shadows as I'd taught them. Many times since then, I'd considered ending my long life.
My vampire sire was certainly dead—I'd watched until the last moment as he walked steadily into the sunrise.
A wise and honorable man was my grandfather, who'd become a wise and honorable vampire. I still missed his calm demeanor and steady hand.
Something always held me back from a walk in the sun; perhaps it was because a part of me knew that someday, I might become useful again.
From the dark confines of the nearby forest, I studied the large vacation home belonging to an off-worlder. I had my methods of spying, as I'd taught Rigo everything he knew of it.
Something was going on in the Rovel home, and I doubted it was closely acquainted with anything considered legal.

My dreams invaded the waking world when Nefrigar, Chief Archivist of the Larentii Archives, appeared in Prince Amlis' library.
He must have understood my joy, as his eyes brightened and he smiled. <Greetings>, he sent to me. <I understand that you retain memories of Corinnelar, when others have failed to do so.>
<Is that true? That none recall her? She saved me and gave me this>, I gestured toward the shelves of books lining the Prince's library.
"That is what I wish to speak with you about—how she saved you," Nefrigar smiled again. "To record for our archives."
<Shall we sit?> I offered. <It is a good story>.

Well, that's it I can't take a break from this blog again(I assure you it was not intentional). Reading these snippets and passages from other books I feel like I have missed a lot even though I have read all the books. I am going to have to re-read Cloud Dust and Finder Series.
I am also in need of suggestions for things to read. Just to show who I have already read I will write out authors .

Wylend Arden, Fifth-level warlock and King of Karathia for more than twenty-thousand years, had quite a story to tell.
"It began like this," he said, his smile slightly crooked as he lifted his cup of wine to me. "I had an older brother, born to one of my father's legitimate mates. His name was Wellend and he was heir to the Karathian throne. On his sixteenth birthday, my father gifted him with the Heir's Ring, as was proper."
* * *
After thousands of years, Wylend's niece and nephew are making a bid for the Karathian throne. All they need, it seems, is a book and a ring to prove their inheritance. It matters not to Deris and Daris Arden whom they murder or which worlds they destroy in their quest to wrestle the throne from seemingly legitimate heirs. If they conquer the Karathian King and take the throne, their greed will demand that the Alliances be next...
Unless their spell can be broken.

Is this the last book or will there be more? There are a lot of unanswered questions from both series. Will we ever find out what was in the first ordinance in this new book or?? What will happen to Val's child? Will he have it or not ? Will Bellen get his mate? Hmmmm. Will Quinn have Justis' baby. What about Amlis? Will he mess up with Quinn again by finding a new bride. Will Illya get to be with Cori again? What about James and Nathan on Avendor? So many questions..... need more books to answer them.
