Lissa seems to not be behaving as I would expect through the Demon series. Like you say, she has been somewhat where Reah has been. She is the mate of most of her children. She is also grandmother of Reah's children. Lissa had been passionate about children and family. I was disappointed she didn't seem to take more interest in Reah's situation or her children all those years. Some may say she was uncomfortable since there is a breach between her son Tory and Reah, so she didn't interfere. However, that doesn't make me think much of her if she didn't do much with her grandchildren.
You know Jballaustin you right she hasn't been act like herself in the series so far and I just thought it was because we don't see her a lot, you don't think Kifirin did something to her as well because at this point nothing Kifirin would do to those he says he cares about would truly surprise me.
I also think that Lissa is behaving differently to what we'd expect. I first noticed this when she began screaming when told of Gavril's disappearance, and didn't go searching for him. You may be right Eaglechild that there are outside influences afoot with Kifirin a likely contender.

The girls' life in the palace on Kifirin was never really shared, so it is quite possible that Lissa was part of that. I would actually make that assumption by default. Garde is her mate, so it is natural for that to be the case. As far as the girls knew, Reah was fine with the situation. These stories are about Reah and her interaction with her world so Lissa's relationship with the girls would not be part of the story.
Wyatt will be another story. I am pretty certain that she will not allow Teeg to run off with that child.
I think Kifirin may have had a hand in keeping Lissa from knowing. Karzac seemed to know something was wrong but he stated to Raedah that it was not Lissa's problem but Kifirin's problem (this was when they help once a month with the disabled workers). Also I think Kifirin did something with Edan and Reah's grandfather. They seemed to be very concern and loving in the previous books but they also seemed to not to be around during the 25 years.
They all seem to have blinders on except for Ry, Dee, Nefrigar.
But another explanation might be that Lissa is busy with her own world. The 3 sets of twins seem to thrive, living in the palace, etc. Reah is around and seems to be busy and probably on the outside, she seems content. I am not sure if Reah would complain to Lissa. Karzac is not telling her what he thinks. Garde does not see a problem with it so he is not telling Lissa.
