I agree with you Ramoth that the Quin story line seems to have reached a happy resolution, but I think the Corinne story line has some way to go. That may be just wishful thinking however, as I am very much hoping for Corinne to be happy for more than a short moment.
Did anyone else have trouble keeping up with those pop-up characters Gale and Norn? I need a slow re-read to work them out, is Gale Corolan, and were Gale and Norn someone else the first time we met them spying in the past story thread when Welelnd was still Wellend?
First thought was" WOW!", second thought was "Frantic". I will have to read it at least another time for it all to sink in with so much happening, for me it was almost too much.
I agree the ending was great for Quinn, though she still has the plague worm things to deal with. Again waiting with baited breath for the next book.
Breanne presented Quin with the cure for the plague in the form of glass globes that did NOT contain rogue gods. Maybe we'll see how she uses them in another book!
@YMG83 I'm totally baffled over Gale and Norn myself. At one point it seems as if it's Corolan and Garth (I think that's his name? Wylends other mate).
Then at the end it's Wellend and his father? I've read the book twice now and still I'm baffled :') I know I must be missing something obvious but...nope.
Otherwise, I LOVED the book. I really, really, really want to slap some sense into Ilya...But I'm sure Connie will in the next book haha.
My favourite bits pretty much were anything involving Caylon and Zaria Loved her putting him in his place (And now I really, really, really need a Caylon/Chloe book at some point!). I'm thinking Quinn's story is pretty much done now also, Zaria dropped off the orbs off and pretty much told Lissa what had to be done. I think maybe Zaria and Lexsi's stories will join now. Maybe not in the next book but given the epilogue it seems likely. Plus they both want to hunt Vi'lli (I can't remember how to spell that).
Do not go gentle into that good night.

The original Gale and Norn changed their names and became Corolan and Garek. Warlend and Wellend have taken many disguises and names through the years, to keep themselves hidden. They just happened to choose those two familiar names in their last incarnation before they revealed to everyone that they were still alive. Hope that helps.
There will be at least one more book in the First Ordinance series. for now, kicking around titles, so nothing on that front, yet. Will probably be ready in late April or May next year.
