Ohhhh boy, hmmm did anyone catch that hank can read people like Breanna or rather isn't reading Brea. I agree hank is something other than human and for a time I thought he might even be the mighty mind but there was a scene near the end of the book where someone causes Bill not to remember Brea until " later"( damn these complicated timelines we need a whole new vocabulary), and next connie is describing a frustrated Hank. Though this doesn't mean Hank canna be the Mighty Mind it just means he not the MM yet and has come back to protect Brea from a future point as most of the gods have the ability to bend time.
Another thing that is getting me scratch my head has Brea found the way to destroy the rouge gods it sounded like it at the end.
Yeah, on the blow your mind front...
I have often assumed that those the heroine feels compelled to go help are likely mates.
Breanne has now felt compelled to save Illdevar twice now.
So, yeah, I think Ra-Ak likely, and I was starting suspect it was Illdevar.
I could see guessing Li'Neruh Rath as well, we just don't have evidence (that I've seen) that any of the gods "gain knowledge" of people by kissing them.
I first thought Hank was Ra'ak due to the no kissing thing. I also think that Hank may be Li'Neruh Rath turning to the really tall High Demon. He was told in the very beginning of the book was told to learn about sex and all that was accepted and unaccepted. BDSM definitely falls into the latter. Also, the reward he is promised is Breanne I think. I'm curious who the "shining one" who told Li'Neruh about his reward and the sex stuffis though. I think Jayson is fully human though.
Now, I want to know who it was that was watching over Breanne (at least this was my interpretation) at the end and saw her contemplating killing herself by following the bad guys through the other timeline and decided to grab her and yank her to Le Ath Veronis. It would have to be someone with power since she didn't sense them.
I also agree that Illdevar is a probable mate for Breanne in the future. I'd really like to see her have some of her mates there for her like Edward is for Reah.
I'm sad to say I never got into Ashe's books so I don't know how he ended up with Ashe in his bubble on Avendor with immortality. Can someone please clue me in if Ashe accomplished this for Bill?
By the way, if someone is feeling really kind or bored I wouldn't mind a Cliff's notes version of Ashe's series I would not be sad about it!!
Robbytonk: If Hank is Li'Neruh then he can't be the Mighty Mind because Connie said that the Three are reborn as one of the created races. The One, the Three and the godlings are not of the "created races". I know this because I got confused and thought it was only the immortal races that could be the Three reborn.
Kellilee your surmise that hank isn't the mighty mind can't be proved or disproved at the moment because her devilish divinity Connie has not yet revealed what hank is yet as for the no kissing if I remember right with regard to Brea Hank didn't want to use his ability to read her because he wants her to tell him what her problem was. We all know now that a lot of Brea's hang ups are due to the abuse she suffered as a child. Though I think your surmise that BDSM is unacceptable is classed as wrong yes for Brea it is due to her history, but for others it is a lifestyle choice.
@Kellilee In Ashes series there was a group of half Elemeya children that Bill was trying to keep safe as they were being hunted and disappearing or killed by the Elemeya who wanted them for their Armys. They were taken to the supernatural village type thing? Lol that Ashe lived in into keep them safe, Reah's Edward was one of them.
When the Elemeya came to get them and a fight broke out a gate (portal type Elemeyan thing) opened i presume by Ashe and the children went through and ended up on Avendor. When the gate opened two women where waiting to greet the children a dark haired woman and the shining women. Who we now know to be Breanne and Kay/Kalia.
When Bill who at this point had aged to about 60ish seen the shining woman he ran to her and she welcomed him so he left through the gate with her.Ashe in the final book opened a gate to Avendor disappearing with everyone and gave them immortality whilst in the confines of the barrier he'd raised.
I hope that makes some sense
