Welcome to the boat, getting filled quick, grab a seat while you still can!
How about reading a new series? I just grabbed Heat Wave, first one of the Castle books as in the TV series. No idea yet if it's good but I like the TV show *shrug*
Well ... you could read all Connie's books again ... twice, at one per day on the first of August you would have just finished the second read through ... lol.
Reading is a gift to yourself that you can share with everyone.
@Clare I've never seen the tv show so may do, i tend to avoid reading something if ive watched it as i get annoyed by the variations between the book and movie/tv series lol
@Larry i like the way your mind works!!!!

It isn't the book of the TV show. To try and explain. the TV show, Castle is about a famous writer whom, through a friendship with the Mayor, gets to go along with a Detective - Kate Becket - to research for his books. He starts writing a new series of books about a new character called Nikki Heat (His previous character was Derek Storm), who is loosely based on Kate becket. The books he writes are referred to constantly throughout the TV series. After a few seasons the writers of the TV show decided it would be a great publicity "stunt" to actually release those books in real life. They are all credited to the fictional author and they even get him to go do book signings etc as his character. Ever since they were published there has been a big debate going on trying to work out who the actual ghost writer is, the only clue that the TV network gave was that the author has appeared on the TV show once. This is not actually much help as Castle regularly has famous writers appearing on it as friends of Castle... it could be anyone from Stephen King to JK Rowling.
So, in short, you won't be reading adaptations of the TV show. You can also buy Derek Storm books.
Honestly, Connie's output has been on par with the best of the pulp fiction writers of bygone days, and she has maintained a level of quality and plot density that they never contemplated. She has definitely mastered the art of the cliffhanger!
