I don't know if anyone else picked up on it but it seems as though Reah developed a connection with Astralan towards the end? I think we'll be seeing more of him in the next instalment and potentially as a mate.

I'm not convinced that Nenzi won't become Reah's mate, given her protectiveness of him. I know he's a eunuch but where there's magic, there's a way!

Really happy that Reah is growing in confidence and I do hope she puts this to use in spurning Lendill...unless he makes some SERIOUS amends. It's a shame too as I did like his character in the earlier books. He's too much like Norian now.

I had Gavril in my original list ... I would still say yes ... after he turns 18.

oh come on. Some places allow marriage as early as 14.
However, with Lissa as the Mom, it will probably be 18 for Gavril.
I don't know about Astralan. He is too quick to fry people. I don't see Reah attracted
to him although he is to her. In counter to that, it sounds like you can have a connection and
one side not really feel it (muffled?). It looks like Lentil has a connection per his dad, but Reah just considers him a "cruel viper".

I don't see any rogue warlocks in Reah's future. I think Wylend would execute them first then question the ashes ...
