Are we sure they were not the ones sent out to kill? However, I agree on keeping them out of Norian and Lendill's ruthless hands. Right now, what Lendill and Norian are doing to Reah is near slavery with a threat of "treason" hanging over her head if she doesn't co-operate. People usually get a choice what section they will sign up for. So, If Norian and crew get ahold of the brothers, I could see Norian being just as ruthless "for the greater good". Oh yea. Reah needs to get the brother's away from all sides!
Well if I remember correctly that wizard got them from the basement from a cell I think they were considered defective cause they could not pass for human so they prob were just used in the hose like slaves not like the others who were guards and assassins
Its a lovely thought, but I suspect the snake lads have a BIG part to play in the unfolding story and they won't get out so easily. Teeg must have a reason for stealing them, either something he wants them to do, some knowledge they have that he needs, leverage to make Reah do something, or whatever (dare I say, stuff). For Teeg to take them from Reah just to be mean simply doesn't fit with the rest of his behaviour, even as confusing as that was at the end of Demon Revealed.
