So, for those who have not read the book yet, go no further if you don't want to read some spoilers.
Otherwise, I would like to see what Talents we have so far with Reah and what we think might be coming?
1) Alternate form: Golden wings, immune to poison, can fry those who touch her if she wants, Strength, and doesn't get hurt much from Ra'ak dust in that form.
2) Passive shielding against magic about 14 hands in all directions. Not shielded against physical damage.
3) Mind speech: in line with High Demon ability.
4) Folding travel: In line with High demon ability
5) Able to detect and make underground volcanoes errupt. I have not seen this as a High demon ability mentioned before, so may be noteworthy for future reference.
6) Able to do master cooking that makes me drool (LOL!).
Plus she frequently seems to just know things about people without knowing how, perhaps a form of Sight. She also feels when those she loves are in mortal peril.
Yep, I forgot the truthsayer part. That is a High Demon guli. On the knowing when those she loves is in trouble, that is alot like Lissa. I have not seen where any of the High demons mention having that ability. Although, Tory mentioned there would be some link between him and Reah once they had sex. Not sure if it was just related to making sure only babies she would have would be Tory's. Also, the just "knowing" something, that I forgot also. I am not sure if that is High Demon either.
Reah is 1/4 high demon, 1/2 cook (well 1/4 cook and 1/4 conniving Marzi, but so far it seems that the cook genes are dominant), and 1/4 something else. What wonderful things that unknown ancestry will be able to contribute, I so look forward to learning more.
Yes I am curious as to who her Mother was and what was her ancestry? Who did her grandfather mate with and how did they get to Tulagan? Two females that the High Demons didn't know about? I think there is more here...lol
