Here's a snippet from Demon's Revenge:

Torevik Rath, in full Thifilathi, sniffed the air and roared. And then roared again. Leapt into the air and came down with a thump, shaking the earth around him. Beat his chest and shouted out his pleasure at being one with the planet he walked upon. Could feel the hum of life through his bare feet. This is what he'd missed and longed for. But for how long? He couldn't remember. He remembered a beautiful face that hid wickedness. Betrayal. Pain. How might he think he'd ever loved it? If he had her now, he would squeeze the life from her.

Tory ran over the open fields, a giant among tall grasses. Every animal in his path ran and hid from the largest predator they'd ever seen. But then he stopped. What was that? Something lying in the grass. Tossed carelessly in his path. He'd see about that. Nothing would stand against him or obstruct his course. Cautiously Tory sniffed the air. He wasn't close enough yet. Two large strides brought him in range. Suddenly he knew that scent. How had it come here? Was it done purposely, so he'd find it? He cared not. It was here and unmoving, waiting for him to do as he pleased with it.

Wow is all I can say.

i wonder if its reah he is talking about when he says the betrayal and pain or is it his wife?

I hope he is talking about his new wife and not Reah. If his Thifilathi sees Reah as a betrayal with her having his twins, that would be disastrous for all.

By the way, it seems that Reah when she is in Thifilatha (not sure I have correctly spelled the feminine version) seems to be very similar to her regular personality. She seems to think the same and can talk. While Tory seems to be a slightly different person or personality in his Thifilathi. I am not sure if any of the other High Demons can talk while as a Thifilathi.

Also, unless it never applied to Connie's story line, Reah does not seem to have to turn during full moons.

Does this make her a slightly different type of High Demon? Or is it her being only 4th High Demon?

I don't think Tory's Thifilithi acknowleges the new wife as his. That means the betrayl he's talking about must be Reah.

Also, he's not supposed to turn anywhere near the new wife and her family. I sure hope he skipped to another planet before turning. I wonder what it is he finds lying in front of him. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
