Since reading the Legend of the Ir'Indicti Series, I have been trying to find the common thread that links Lissa and Ashe. It has to be from her mother's side of the family. In both series the info is that gifts run in families, and Ashe and Lissa have a lot of the same gifts. I am a little worried that something happens to Ashe because he hasn't shown up in Blood Destiny series, Krifin took all the vampires deemed worthy and moved them to LeAth Veronis, where is Adian and Nathan? I know that Ashe isn't a vampire, but he is full Bright El. He would be a great asset to Lissa and her family, and he could be protected on LeAth Veronis and he could learn from her Inner Circle of mates to utilize and improve his gifts, not that he isn't doing a great job on his own. Still I feel bad for him, he has no one he can trust, he is the only one of his kind, alone. His own mother has forgotten him and his Dad is the root of it all. I know, I know it is only a story, but I have been an die hard reader practically my whole life, and it is one of my favorite ways to pass the time. When I read a book the words come to life in my head, and I think about the story for days, or if it is a really good book, for weeks. Wondering where the next book could be going!!!
Anyway, just thinking about what happens to Ashe and how he can be brought into Lissa's life and become a vital member of her family. To have him finally feel that he can have people he trusts and understand him. Plus, the fact that Winkler hasn't mentioned him to Lissa at all is a little disturbing!!!
Janet
Some good questions Janet, and I don't know the answers either. Connie's universe is so vast that anything can happen. I have long puzzled about Lissa's mother, too. I think we will find answers in future books, and more questions!
In the days BC (before Connie) the greatest author of fantasy was John Bunyan. My favourite is 'The Holy War'. You can find it free on Gutenberg.
It has been hinted at that Ashe has made a couple of appearances in the Blood Destiny series, Mighty big hints. I don't remember hearing Nathan's and Adian's names at all but maybe they move on to where Nathan's kids are instead of following the vampires.
