Based on what Darzi said, and the fact that Kifirin's gift to Justin did NOT come with strings attached, its almost guaranteed it is the new Kifirin, child of the mighty heart. Not to mention the laughing.
My theory is though the God wars are over in the future it was fought all along the timeline, so this book being in the past, was about one of those battles fought by the Saa Thalarr with a little help from the future.
Thorsten.... No words. Except I suddenly understand how they could be stupid enough to make Saxom a healer. It seems obvious to me Thorsten not only hated Griffin but the entire race he was meant to watch over. The question is... Why?
Yeah... Wisdom being Kiarra's father was my first thought as well when I read that part.
Adam... Well he needs to get together with Gavin and start a-holes anonymous. "Hi, my name is Adam and I am an ...."
Excuse the French.
Did anyone else notice those Ranos bombs would have taken out 2 of the 3 Mighty...
David yes it hadn't gone unnoticed that they were effectively trying to take out the mighty. That is why these books have the feel as I've said of being much as Larry has said expansions of the background story of the saa thalarr during the period when Acrimus and the General we're trying to re-write history in Blood Finale as well as to a larger degree giving more depth to characters who were more in the background in the other series's.
That's a tough one though, although I won't rule it out.
During the actual war they travelled through time to destroy the three and gain advantage by changing the timeline.
So really that gives Connie carte Blanche to do almost anything... Except change blood finale. They can't change anything when they are banished and dead.
But the blood war only covered a short time of the past and future, so she can use it as a backdrop for the Saa Thalarr stories.
That said, she did just banish the general to a new universe, cutting him off from this one. But it does leave a small opening I suppose.
My theory is the Saa Thalarr stories are just using the blood war as a backdrop. Could be wrong, after all the final words of the book talked about the timeline being rewritten a known two times but a suspected many times. just my 2 cents. LOL, yes, I am arguing both sides.
Personally, I would say that the Saa Thalarr books are more filling in the history, not an expansion of the universe so much as Connie allowing us (the readers / fans) in on the history she used to create the rich La'Re'Qitzi universe.
That's not to say that there are not a ton of twists and turns in our future, I expect more Machiavellian plot twists … lol.
BTW … just to play Devil's advocate … who said that the ending we currently know for the God Wars is the only ending?? Breanne spent quite a bit of time straightening up the timelines (note plural) …

I think the AA club would be a large gathering. I think these qualify too:
Gardevik
Norian Keef
Griffin
Kifirin
Thorsten
Torevik
Teeg
Lendill
Wylend
Kal
Got it on my mind to change my ways, but I don't think I can be anything other than me.

Personally, I think Norian was more than slightly over qualified for AA … the purpose of these groups is over come a problem … Norian always seemed to look for a way to be a bigger a-hole.
