I think Winkler did not do as much harm to Lissa emotionally as Gavin did. Winkler merely blackmailed her into staying as his bodyguard longer. Lissa was red hot angry over it, no real harm done. Now Gavin did a complete 180 turn in his relationship with Lissa. Lissa's trip to the Vampire Council can be summarized as the trip from Hell. Lissa forgave Gavin way too soon for me. Breaking trust with someone you befriend is crossing way over the line.
