I think the organisms are spread too far by now. Where do you start when multiple planets and even space itself is contaminated? (was that the right word? not sure right now)
Even if she starts by clearing space (if that's even possible), all it would take is one space ship that has these organisms to spread it to other planets. So unless there is a way to destroy them all at the same time, I don't know how you could stop it right now.
But that's just my opinion

I just finished and am about to start a second read haha
