I think it’s time for a conspiracy theory, since I haven’t done one in a while.

1) We know Quin and the Orb were created at the same time.
2) We know that Quin and the Orb are linked.
3) We know that the Orb has powers that Quin does not and can boost Quin’s powers.
4) We know that destroying the Orb will kill Quin.

What if when Liron created Quin and the Orb he limited Quin via putting a lot of her powers into the Orb? This ensures that the Orb has access to Power as long as Quin is alive.

Assume that Quin requires free will to do her work or that her free will was an unintentional side effect of her creation (depending on how much you want to hate Liron) … the Orb then becomes Liron’s means to force Quin into situations that she would not normally choose. Since destroying the Orb would kill Quin we can also turn that around that killing Quin would destroy the Orb (high probability).

Now, I think that all Quin needs to do is pull the remainder of her power from the Orb in order to become complete and cause the Orb to dissipate from lack of power. It’s always easier to use someone’s own power against them then it is to counteract them from an outside source. Not that this would be as easy to do as say, but I think that could be the solution to the Orb.

So who is controlling the Orb? Or was it pre-programmed, for lack of a better word?

I still think the orb is Liron or whatever is left of him!

The internet has proven that this is not true."
