I agree on Auri and Wylend. I am glad he introduced her to his supportive lovers. By her comments just before he introduced them, she would probably have preferred not to meet them fearing being looked down on. She needs more support around her like her snake friends give her.
To me, Norian seems to be fanatical about the Reth Alliance and fanatics can't be reasoned with. He used Lissa even though he knew she was recovering and nearly killed her then used Reah in the same (and worse) ways and caused the death of her daughter. It could be an influence from an outside source; has that source had their hooks into him for that long?
Norian does not seem to learn anything from his mistakes and so long as the Reth Alliance seems to win his remorse is short lived. His treatment of everyone is very one sided - even his "best friend" Lendill is self serving. Lendill is a subordinate an must do what Norian wants him to or else. I have not seen any redeeming qualities in him yet, he is his mother's son in every way.
