Storyline

Did the book say that the gate was to Tirallia? I know it said it was poisonous. ( I am rereading and am about 1/3 done with a second reading.)

I'm pretty sure the orb can control it. She may be immune to poison, but there were others there, and she travelled through time. She could be anywhere.

OK I found something wrong from book one to book 2 in book one it says that Halthea's mom was shoved thru the gate by her husband but that Trevon was dead already. In book 2 it says that Yevil found that the last bones there was his father ... or did I get that wrong ? I also think that the gate maybe rotates, or moves. cause Connie specified that Yevil went thru the gate at midnight and Quinn went thru the gate in the morning. Maybe the gate is at Tiralia at midnight and some where else at other times.
The book seemed short. I barely started it and bam it is over. lol... so if Quinn gets thrown 5 years ahead is she still too young while everyone else is 5 years older? I wonder if she will be smart enough to send mind speech to anyone since she was quieted once she popped out the gate.

Ladydear - I don't think the piles of bones necessarily represent the order that they passed through the get and died. Halthea's mother could have made a run for the city instead and got a little farther away from the gate as not to be the "Last" pile of bones -or- the tossing thru the gate act itself could have an effect on where each person ended up. a 140 lb female Avii would be thrown farther than a 250 lbs male. So, I wouldn't say it wasn't necessarily wrong.

I do think that she is immune to poison, but she didn't land at Tirelia, at least that wasn't her final destination. The being that was on Tirilia when Yevil went thru sounds like Kirfrin or Hank. who is to say that if Quin where to arrive that same being wouldn't take her somewhere else... where she was needed, possible 5 years in the future. (leaning toward Kifirin on this theory)

I do think, as with all gates, one with power can control where it goes. I wonder why the orb chose a destination that took Quin from one danger to another (if my about theory doesn't pan out)? The Plot thickens

So, Cayetes went with Soul shifting. so every 3 days or so he needs a new body. That is a lot of bodies after 5 years. Kaldill, Lissa and Reah found Zellar in less time and he had a Seer/Ra'Ak with him. Zellar was pretty messed up after soul shifting so many times. How messed up is Cayetes after 5 years of it? the plot thickens even more...

Thanks RKET and JD for the info on Tiralia. I just reread that part and I also think the person who talked to Yevil is either Kifirin or Hank.
