As to disliking certain characters, that isn't a slight to Connie, not by any means! In order to feel ANY emotion toward a character in a story then you have invested interest in that character, that only comes from good writing. The good, the bad and the ugly are what makes a book good! It is what prompts people to sit and discuss it on forums. We want to see them get their comeuppance, not make them not exist! In a book (I think at least) creating characters that your audience hates is just as important as creating ones they love. Connie makes us FEEL when we read the books. I can't speak for others but although I like to feel happy if all I got was a positive feeling from positive characters I would grow bored. Teeg an Norian have had me to the point where I have had to put down the book and go do something else, but I go back pretty fast lol they make me feel annoyance, rage, anger, infuriated! Oddly, despite all the bad things Kifirin has done, he doesn't make me that way, I feel sorry for him. He made a vow not to interfere but sees the error of that and just desperately wants to do right by the worlds and races whom he loves. At times this has meant bringing great hurt to the ones he loves most. Each time he has hurt those, he has in turn hurt himself because he does genuinely love them. He sacrificed a great deal in order to break rules and help his worlds and people.

I don't like Norian because he is so merciless, but then it was pointed out in the books that the ASD have to use whatever they have to hand to accomplish their tasks. That got me thinking about it all and as the reader we have the benefit of seeing the situations from many angles, so we can quickly see better alternatives that hurt no one, however, Lendill and Norian do not have that luxury. They see a situation which is paramount, life and death, save the world type things and then have to try and remedy it. It is heartless yes, but when you look at it from their eyes, ignoring all of the "extra" things we know then I can understand why they used Rhea in the ways they did. It made sense. However, I don't think some of the things that were said should have been. Things like "we own you" and the beating given to Rhea to try and get Bel to talk. It has made me view those two in a better light, although Norian still needs some lessons in diplomacy, not to mention a good slap.
Yeah that's true, and i could kinda forgive his bull headedness as far as using her skills it was just when he forced her to heal the core while pregnant despite her asking to hold of for a while. I was like "oh hell nooooo!". And he's just adding to that with the whole Bree situation.
Im wondering if Lissa it's gonna forgive Gardevik soon, he did come and help when all the obsessed prisoners attacked. Im starting to feel sorry for him lol even if he was a prejudiced and inconsiderate difik!
Haha are we thinking Bell as a possible....?? Lol I've been wondering aswell, could Conner maybe be the Mind. She did seem awful happy when she seen Bree? Probably unlikely as she is already the guardian.
Do not go gentle into that good night.

I'm guessing that as the guardian Conner merely recognised Bree as a mighty and was happy due to that. As to Bel, well, we know he was due to be reborn don't we, so it is entirely possible... I'm certainly curious about who he will be reborn as. We know that Jayson is significant and although it is possible is is just so far removed from who Bel was I find it hard to imagine. I'm looking forward to seeing him return. I liked him a lot.
I hope Connie doesn't run Kifirin off as a rogue. He definitely has his strong points. However, he was a real ass to Rhea. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.
I cannot imagine Norian as a Mighty, regardless of how funny it would be.
I am definitely looking forward to what she does with them in this next installment. Teeg's reckoning cannot be postponed forever!
