I'm just retreading DR and am back at the section where Reah keeps waking after being put under by first Kifirin then his assistant, Teeki. It suddenly struck me that the reason for this could be the baby Garwin she is carrying being a superior power to Kifirin and his assistants...one of the Mighty's! So there is some transference of power even in it's embryonic state.

andersonj, I like your idea! I did wonder about why she was waking but never came up with a reason. It may also be why the mighty came to her and prevented the rape so the baby was not killed.

But we will see if it matches Connie's reasons.

I had also wondered what the reasoning was that Reah kept waking when she was not supposed to. I was thinking that maybe it was someone on the light side helping to show her what Kirfin was doing to her but who knows.

I am concerned though that if Griffin and Amarra find out that Garwin is Wyatt reborn they may try to interfere with his life. We all know how Griffin likes to mettle with everyones life and all the harm that tends to come from that.

Not sure if Teeg's head could expand to be big enough if we find out that Garwin (his son) is one of the Mighty. Teeg has a big enough ego as it is. Although Garwin might just give him one hell of a wake up call as well. Could not imagine a Mighty letting their mother (Reah) getting mistreated which would be a good thing.

Wyatt is Wyatt reborn, as he was not a Mighty the last time ... it was mentioned, specifically, that he was meant to be a Saa Thalarr healer ... it leads me to believe that he will get his wish to be a healer this time.

A lot of people imagine power to be the utmost reward, to a person with the bent to be a healer ... power in and of itself is a burden to be avoided. Healers want nothing to do with power politics, they want to help other lead healthy prosperous lives.

I think Griffin may have finally realized that his brand of influence is less than optimal ... if they find out and Amarra gets back with Griffin, I would measure Griffin's life expectancy in milliseconds if he does any tampering with Wyatt.
