How about the tease at the end, where will left cassie in new Orleans where here murdering father and grandfather are seeking aid. Also how is it that cassie was sacrificed and not will too. I hope cassie tells every one who wants to give her orders to kiss off. Because they only so far have told her only half of what she needs to know and put her in perilous positions because of lack of knowledge.

Yeah, the first thing I thought of was that. No doubt she'll run into them in New Orleans in some way in the beginning of book two.

They book never said the wizard needed to be sacrificed, only that there needed to be a wizard and fire demon, I just assumed the wizard's power is what sacrifices the fire demon and releases all the energy at once.

As for perilous, that's a major understatement for the sprites and Will, since they set her up as a sacrificial lamb, stupid too, since there are only three fire demons left, if he was smart he would have let her attack first, see what damage she could do without killing her.

But yeah, I agree on perilous for the rest of them. Her so called husband wouldn't even get her any training, I'm sure she's more powerful than is apparent, but all she knows how to do is set herself on fire and jump on things. Either way, it was a nasty betrayal, one of the worst I've seen Connie write, even Griffin left the choice at the end up to LIssa, whereas Cassie was sacrificed against her own will, murdered pure and simple, and I wonder if Connie had a cackling evil laugh when she wrote the scene ;)

I agree, I'll be disappointed if she takes any crap in book two, at least not from Will, and the sprites. I'd be quite happy to see them all burn to be honest. Sacrificing others for victory just sounds like something the bad guys would do...

The wolves, her Ex, and others that had no clue what Will planned... well I guess they can have another chance.

It also occurred to me, that when Cassie blew up and took out the nest, she might have destroyed a pyramid, which will make the remaining bad guys stronger, another piece of info Will should have passed on, that damaged pyramid they have needs to be buried, maybe in the middle of the pacific somewhere. There's no proof that happened of course, but it's possible. Of course, I'm probably wrong, I usually am when I try and guess about Connie's books

Cassie definetly needs to get training ... form whom is the question.

Will ... well he is better than Griffin (at this point), he realizes he fucked up and seems to want to fix it, What he does from here will determine my feelings about him. Sacrificing a fire demon is what he was trained to do ... is that an excuse? No. It just means they need better training (kill your enemies not your friends).

The holding back of information, well as much as I hate to say this, Cassie is as guilty of that as the guys are ... keeping Destiny in the dark is pretty much the same as everyone keeping Cassie in the dark (just not to the same degree). Communications need a bit of work.

As for Cassie kicking them all to the curb ... we all know that's not going to happen, but I think she needs to crack a few heads together to ensure they treat her as, at least, an equal.

Since we know Will can track the pyramids but did not use that to find the "headquarters" I doubt the pyramid was destroyed. My question is was Ruudann destroyed?

I don't buy the destiny argument. On one hand you have the mate of the guy in charge, who is put in the position and asked to fight, and even made the princess of the area that is most contested. Clearly a need to be in the know...

On the other hand you have Destiny, a high school student and underage girl. She's kept out of the fighting, there is no reason to tell her anything. Clearly a need to be protected and kept out of the fighting.

Sure.. that sound good. Don't worry will, I know you killed me, but bygones and all. Not buying that either. Sacrificing a life that isn't your own makes you a bad guy in my opinion. He could have talked to her first, I don't give a crap if that was his training or not. He wasn't sorry about it either, he expected Cassie to thank him for bringing her back, and he didn't even consider an alternative. Nope, sorry. Not bending on this one. Will in my mind is forever in the company of Griffin, Norian, and the rest of the bad good guys in Connie's books. Ron and his pizza eating king were even worse, they had the gall to befriend her first, may they roast in the fires of hell.

Not that you know... I'm emotional about it or anything... LOL
