Who was/is worse? Tony or Nori?

From a strictly personal view, if I was one of Lissa's mates ... I would have take Norian behind the woodshed after he first meet her. His attitude and actions were so far out of line that he needed a whooping (still does IMO).

M'Fiyah's are chosen prior to birth ... so one could hope that in his previous life Norian was somewhat less ... err ... abrasive.

I think Lissa still owes Tony some payback but overall I think Tony is the better catch.

Also, now that I've reread the original post Nori's treatment of Reah is a whole new can of worms ... this one is about Lissa. We can bash Norian about his treatment of Reah under Demon lost =).

but the question was not Lissa specific...the question was who was/is worse (with the specifics being pre-vampire Tony). Character is not person specific. If you love someone or respect someone enough, you may adjust your behavior slightly to accommodate, but your character isn't really changing.

Such is the same with Tony and Nori. To answer a question of who is worse, one must look at all sides of the equation. Lissa was the first body of evidence. Reah is the second. (Although, I guess to that point, I don't think vampirism changes character either, so I don't think in a character comparison that we should have been limited on Tony.)

I'd happily watch you take him to the woodshed. Actually - I've been thinking about your M'Fiyah comment and perhaps Nori could be mated to a Thifilatha that needed to claim him. And refuse to give him healer or Larentii help. I think that would be quite fair. Ildevar didn't take enough care with the development of his overall character, IMO.

Thank you, Larry, for this site - no one at home wants to talk with me about all these details just for the sake of enjoying the story. :)

You are most welcome, of course my reasons for creating this site aren't entirely selfless … it also gives me a place to discuss the books … lol.

If you truly want to get into a discussion of overall character I would be glad to oblige … just start your own topic (hijacking a thread is bad form ;-)).

Considering that the only two female High Demons that turn Thifilatha, that we currently know of, are Glinda and Reah … obviously we need more Thifilatha … lol. I agree that would be a good start … but I honestly can't see Reah being even slightly interested in Norian and Glinda seems to be monogamous so far.

Agreeing with Larry on this. Put Tony and Nori in a bag, shake them up, drop them out and they are like peas in a pod. I did not find anything about Nori to like and am still wondering why Lissa accepted him as a mate??.

At this point I have no choice but to concede the biggest Sleaze Bag award goes to Norian & Lendill. Tony does not hold a chance of sinking that low.
