Just a note from Connie's facebook page. Someone asked about Garwin (that he was not in the book) and Connie stated that he is at school. I am glad for that!
I hate to be this person but I like the fact we now have a Larentii with issues the race kind of struck me as a little to perfect at times it's refreshing to have one with a anger issues. Don't get me wrong Kal's treatment of Breanne definitely put him in the asshole category along with Gavin, Cheedas and Teeg. On the up side here we get to see Opal in the next book

I was deeply disturbed by Teeg. Genetics and/or mindcloud? And, BTW, has Connie set it up that a mindcloud makes you violent and evil, or just influences your normal behavior tendencies?
Good first book in the God War's arc.
I am hoping the mighty mind is not Kal since it is prophesied he and Breanne are suppose to work together. Otherwise, no idea on Mightly mind. I don't think it is Kay. I could be wrong.
On the mind cloud, here is how Ashe describes it in Blood Double:
"Mind clouds don't work that way. They don't make a victim helpless. They convince the victim to do irresponsible acts at best and murderous acts at worst. Mind clouds cause damage, Trace, and this one -- even I can't get to the root of it."
I am rereading Blood Double and am curious about Kay/Kalia. I don't think she is one of the mighty. She seems to talk about herself as two persons, a younger Kalia and an older, more mature person. She also looks like Frank. The Kalia part of her trusts only Frank and Bill.
I thought that she might be the daughter of Kiarra who Thorsten had interfered with but I looked it up in Blood Wars. (about location 3024 in my Kindle). Her name was 'Anna Kay' and the daughter of Kiarra and Adam. I don't think that Anna Kay is this Kay/Kalia. Frank looks like Merrill.
So does anyone have any ideas? Is she really two people (or have two person's memories) or does she have schizophrenia? Is she actually related to Frank?
They way I understood it is she has multiple personalities because of her abusive childhood when Kay couldn't cope with what was happening to her Kailia was created as a way to endure the abuse.
