I think Kay's split personality is more due to emotional / physical trauma (read torture) than a supernatural cause, but as always second guessing Connie is a hazardous to ones prediction percentage ... lol.

JeanneM, I say go ahead and speculate. It is always fun to make wild guesses and see if one of them comes out . Who knows, she might be Merrill's child the way Breanne was Griffin's unexpected daughter.

I still see Griffin as not learning yet. He was not willing to help Lissa look for Breanne. When he was confronted by Lissa on why he got another human woman pregnant. He really came across as a total dirt bag on his defense.

On Kay, I agree with Larry on the cause. It may take a Larentii to help with the frightened personality.

Oh yeah, after the reading the speculation is the best part, and Connie has given us so much to think about in Blood Double. I'm wondering why does Kay look so much like Frank and what happened to her that she ended up sold? And of course I'm wondering what horrible things are in Breanne's back story, and who are the others that were threatened when she was taken?

Did anyone pick up that at the end when the mind cloud was lifted from Cheedas (and how did that happen) he didn't remember Breanne at all. If the same thing happens with Gavin and Teeg they would likely escape a severe yelling at for their behaviour. Poor Breanne. I did like her passing thought of turning Teeg into a twelve year old so that he could grow up again, I wonder what Reah would think of that.

In Blood Double, Connie put some interesting new things in play.

The question mark for Norian is so spot on Alfred. Was it mind cloud, obsession, or just Norian being his usual self. Perhaps poor old Norian got a double whammy. Demotion rather than imprisonment seemed like mind cloud, but then his behaviour about Kay seemed more like obsession.

What we think is mind cloud appears to be targeted at Breanne, but why would that happen unless the mind clouder knew her identity and potential?

Just reread the ending did anybody pick up on Conner's reaction when she and lissa were talking about breaenna at the end she laughed as if sh found something funny
