Ahhh, that just means that someone had turned bad, nothing to do with illness.

Ashe as the Mighty Hand does not need to expend his personal power ... he can command others ... or simply grant "permission", no power required. Conner as the Guardian probably has the power, the protection, and the ability to grant permission.

Conner did notice something wrong and brought it to, at least, Lissa's attention (Kindle location 3995).

My first thought on this is that if Teeg got got what he deserved, then many characters should watch out. It is common for Connie's characters to receive mistreatment at the hands of those they love, often with the best of intentions.

As for saying that Lissa should have acted on the compulsion issue, I think she never would. Consider how much she hated being under someone else's thumb, and all the harm it did to her. She certainly would have been able to force Teeg to remove the compulsion, in quite a few ways, but she would not do so.

Generally, Connie's main characters don't force their opinions on others, and this is good, since once they feel justified using their power on someone else for their own good, how would they differ from ones like Griffin?

And the ones who did (Griffin and Kirifin come to mind) are certainly reaping the pain for it now.

I have to disagree with your comment that Connie's characters don't force their opinions on others. the majority of them have done exactly that. Wlodek, Griffin, Winkler, Gavin, Merril, Hank, Jayson, Wyland, Shadows father and grandfather, I forget the names, most if not all of the high demons, Norian, Lendill, should I go on? More have than haven't in short.

I meant main characters: Lissa, Reah, Ashe and Breanne.

Well, I for one, have to respectfully disagree with your definition of "main characters". :P
