I Believe the changer who works with Breanne is Kay.
"Kay's here to give you what you want," Ashe grinned. "I'm here to take you home." "But—what?" "Sweetheart, do you see his lines? See the dormant werewolf lineage?" Ashe placed a protective hand on Kay's shoulder."I see it," she nodded. "Don't worry," she assured Randy, her blue eyes studiously examining the air around his head. "I can see past aura colors, to the lines making up those colors. I can change your aura lines. It won't hurt. You'll be werewolf in a few seconds." She nodded, attempting to calm his fears. Randy gulped as the air around Kay began to glow. He felt heat wash through him. Something was happening. Painless lightning coursed through his body, and he wondered at it. "There, all done." The light around Kay disappeared. "Don't worry; I can only change things with people. I can't Change What Was. That takes more power than I will ever have. Ashe says it saved him, once." She offered Randy a lovely smile.
The Destroyer the Epilogue
Hmm..Well, they are not men. They are hundreds to thousands of years old Vampires, High Demons, Werewolves, etc. Most of them have natural instincts that are incredibly primitive in addition to having come to age during more archaic systems of hierarchy. The High Demons and Larienti are on the verge of extinction due to a lack of females. The Vampires can sustain their race by turning males; however, females are only successfully turned in 1 out of 25,000 attempts. The Werewolves and other Shifters are not essentially immortal as are the previously mentioned races and are, in fact, weaker than the others. In addition to all of that, they are at the mercy of very real gods and are constantly fighting for their survival against races that are as primitive, if not more so, than they are. Therefore, it is hardly surprising that most of the men tend to treat women in an archaic fashion.
All of the above having been said, one of the dichotomies in these books that I truly love is that, with few exceptions, the women tend to have far more power than their mates and, in fact, their mate's worlds revolve around them.

Hmmm? A reason to start reading for the third time?
What I would really, really like to read about (as soon as possible):
a) Starr brothers & Trevor & Kooper learning about Teeg's compulsion;
b) Bree healing Kay;
c) Willem meeting Hank & Jayson (Shane: "...or we'll hold you down". Willem, hopefully: "Really?")
Just had an evil wicked thought you know how we all think hank is the darkest star, well I was starting to re read BT and you know how another god is telling DS that he has to learn about all aspects of humanoid sexuality, what if Jayson is DS and not Hank it is the kind of perverse twist connie is known for.
