@ Ladydear - Basically Cori removed the RD drug from Earth’s timeline. Bree, as one of the Mighty, does not have to undo anything to Change what was (a perk to being one of the most powerful beings in the universe). Larentii do not need to have their powers awakened, they are born able to use power (see the section on Surrogate Fathers). With Bree’s protection the Larentii won’t go after Cori, Bree outranks the council.
@ JeanneM
- The drug did reincarnation, very low percentage of success, while cloning, Brett is clone of Nick, has a very high percentage of success (100% as far as I can tell) physically … mentally on the other hand not so successful. Cloning still screws up future lives though.
- Ilya’s obsession was contained, basically a Larentii trick of not allowing it work, however it is still full force if it ever manages to break the containment (like it did the first time). Kay can remove obsessions otherwise it takes a lot of work to get rid of one.
- Quin was created by Liron, there are two “coffins” that we are aware of the small child sized stasis box that Quin was in and the one in the Avii dungeon. The two warlocks are not looking for the coffin, they know where it is. What we don’t know is if one of these two coffins are the one Bree changed the occupant of or if it’s a totally different coffin.
- Jayson Rome has about a zero percent chance of retaliating against Hank … Hank is one of the Mighty and routinely handed Jayson his ass in Krav Maga.
- Lissa more than likely delivered Winkler to Belen at the proper time to maintain the timeline we all know from the Blood Destiny series.
- Well, one thing we all know about Connie’s books … they tend to interlock, I recommend keeping an eye on First Ordinance and the Latter Day Demon series, we may meet old friends as well as new.

I love this website! I don't visit often, because as I read all the comments and speculation, I tend to want to throw in corrections and hints. As Connie's proofreader, such input would be very inappropriate! But it gladdens my heart to see such enthusiastic commentary by devoted fans.
Thank you, Larry, for providing a forum for fans to discuss these books.
Cloud Rebel is probably my favorite book so far, speaking from a personal perspective. The ending was very emotional for me. I do take heart that the really special characters Connie creates tend to find their way into other stories, regardless of their corporeal status at the end of a specific story.
For all the folks who recognize Connie's penchant for connected story lines, don't despair. Think of how each of these series had their own story arc: Blood Destiny, Legend of the Ir'Indicti, High Demon, God Wars. Then consider them as a whole, and how the grand story arc included them all! Don't be surprised if you see something similar with the currently active series, and upcoming new series.
Speaking of new series, I am currently working on the next newsletter. One of the articles will provide some background information for the Later Day Demon and Seattle Elementals series that Connie is now working on. I hope to have the newsletter out by the end of the week.
Thank you Joe
Huge kudos to all of you who help Connie get the books to us - her avid readers and fans. I am sure that most of us if not all love the fact that it is an interconnected universe with new people appearing and lots of old faces who we love and others that we love to hate.
Larry I know the larentii don't have to have their power awakened but others speculate that Bree put Karathian Cori in the coffin and if she did , did Bree awaken her powers? In cloud invasion Cori became a larentii and the powers she would have had as a Karathian were awakened. All wizards and padlocks have to have their power awakened. That was the basis for my question and opinion that a Larentii Cori would be more useful to save the karathian king.
I highly suspect that if Cori is not Larentii then she is more rather than less ... considering her mates, I would guess Larentii. I can't see Bree leaving whomever is in the coffin defenseless so expect the unexpected ... you'll probably come closer to the story .
