Robytonk I believe that the Mighty always know more than they let on. Bree was quite certain that Quin needed to be separated from the orb before the poison spewing little nasties were dealt with. I wonder if this is because Quin, without the orb, is part of their solution. As to the orb's behaviour, I think Liron created Quinn as a disposable tool, I doubt she was intended to survive calling the orb to the throne room, the orb simply continues to use her for whatever it's purpose is. And I wonder if there is a connection between the orb and the glass spheres.
I noticed the many mate thing too but there are some exceptions to that such as Kiarra, she is quite powerful but has only three. But yeah what is up with the many multiple mates for the females but none of the powerful men seem to have to deal with multiple female mates and their personalities while the most of the women seem to have to deal with multiple males who try to hold them back because of their overbearing need to protect.
JD- Regarding Liron the child, I think he may know about Ashe because like all children he was curious and went exploring. But it might be possible that the child might be able to recognize the powrful in some way. Or perhaps he can see things in people, similar to Quin, Cori, and Bree...you know just look at them and know things about them. I don't think he is one of the powerful though. Also, Quin sees a lot that we don't know about until she mentions it later like how she didn't say that Terrent was once owned by Cayetes until it became an issue but she had seen it before. Maybe she saw that Liron was going to be some kind of seer but felt it wasn't important for anyone to know immediately since he was so young and only coming into his power?
Driver- I remember reading that Earth hadn't joined any alliance because the multiple governments there couldn't agree to anything so while they had low orbit stations they don't seem to have an actual space station or anything.
I believe that there is a connection between the orb and the glass spheres cause Quinn said that the orb shrunk every one and stuffed them in it to save them from vic law's destruction. I think that for the saving every 15 years that the orb and the Queen put the organisms into the spheres and ?? I don't know kept them in there? destroyed them when inside the spheres?? who knows what goes on in Connie's mind LOL But I believe that the Glass Spheres play a big part in the saving. Besides can't Bree or Lissa do something to fix Quinn so she can have babies? Lissa fixed Amara so she could have one.
That's a good point, and Lissa was just a nameless one when she fixed up Amara, not a mighty.
That was my thought, the same way she commands other organism's she can put the bad stuff in the glass orbs. Not sure about destroying, but it should go inert without resources, so put it somewhere safe... LOL
It seems to fit anyway, but I'm almost always wrong trying to guess where Connie is going. Still, this one seems obvious to me, the second she used it to move people without air I thought of the drakus seed and her newly expanded ability to command not just animals, so why not the immortal plague organisms...
