Noooooo! can't bad guys just stay dead.
Got it on my mind to change my ways, but I don't think I can be anything other than me.

RKET - I think Bree can undue an obsession by "changing what was", but she couldn't in the earlier books without giving her location away to the bad guys because of the amount of power she would expend - they had her power signature. Kay can do it with her Changer ability also.
JD: Bree cant undo obsessions: She saved Chedas? by butting two timelines together and forcing the Sirenali to take back the obsession.
At what point in the story the enemy didn't have her power signature, so if she could have done it with power, why take the long road?
AFAIK Kay is the only One who can undo a sirenali obsession!
Just wondering: How long has Lissa now been Queen on Leath ?

The internet has proven that this is not true."
Wow that long. And she hasn't died of boredom yet!

To change what was she would have to have knowledge of the event right? But she didn't because she couldn't see anything related to an obsession. Just my 2 cents. Changing what was would work in theory, if she could see the point of divergence, but she couldn't, hence the complicated butting of timelines.
It's also possible it was only done that way as a plot point, to lead her to the knowledge on destroying much of the general's army.
