I don't think we really know the full effects of the Mind Cloud. Strangely it was brought into being at the end of book 4 of the Demon series, but we only saw some of the results in the God Wars books which are 40 years later. Gavin knew at some point he was treating Bree badly, but couldn't help himself because of the Mind Cloud. It was much worse for Teeg as his soul was already being sucked away because of Tybus' existence in the same timeline. It's a wonder they didn't actually kill her.
Norian was just being himself, no excuse for his actions, which is why Bree didn't bring him back in the end, he needed to learn a few things still before being reborn.
Cheedas, I know he does break down as some point, but I think it was over Lissa, after Bree fed him some love. I don' t think she took away his memories of how he treated her, but maybe she forgave him because of the mind cloud when she sent him love. I might need to re-read that part...
I think Griffin said it himself, "I am my mother's son" At least Thurlow was repentant and tried to make amends for his actions, Griffin has no remorse.
