"As for saying that Lissa should have acted on the compulsion issue, I think she never would. Consider how much she hated being under someone else's thumb, and all the harm it did to her. She certainly would have been able to force Teeg to remove the compulsion, in quite a few ways, but she would not do so."
How many King Vampire mates does she have again? 3? We know Merrill can remove others compulsions he's a King. I think my question is this: Can one King Vampire remove the compulsion of another King Vampire? If so Lissa could have totally bypassed Teeg all together and had one of her mates remove any compulsion she may have deemed harmful or unnecessary.....I'll just leave you with that little tidbit. It's been running around in my brain for a while.

There are certainly countless ways that the compulsion could have been removed without Lissa having to force Teeg to do it, the question is why didn't she do anything? Why didn't someone do something? As his Mother, and sister to Bree, Lissa is the obvious choice to do something to correct the wrong of her son. Her character thus far would surely feel some responsibility to do so, why hasn't she? Personally I find it out of character that Lissa has not acted but that could just be me.
As an aside, I also disagree with the only main characters being Lissa, Ashe, Bree and Reah. To my mind any character that has a significant role and has been around for a long time is a main character. Of those there are many. I would love to be present if Gavin and Norian were to be told they were not main characters lol
I just assumed that Lissa was waiting on Teeg too show a little back bone and do the right thing by apologizing and removing the compulsion but she became distracted by the soul drain and it wasn't removed. Which is understandable due to losing her son.

That was my thought as well, after she lectured him I would think she was giving him time to fix it before she took direct action. Makes sense for her to give him a chance to fix it himself. But there was really no time to do it, and his death overshadowed the issue.
I imagine it will be undone at some point, even if Bree has to do it herself........ You know.... When she isn't dead anymore.... LOL. Assuming the compulsion didn't already lift when he died...... Considering his soul is still present in life that could go either way.
I thought compulsion ended when the compeller died.
I think everyone is in agreement on that. I'm pretty sure there are going to be some pretty peeved of males when their compulsion disappears. I think what is boggling our minds is the fact that Lissa took Teeg to task, but never got around to demanding the compulsions be removed. By him or one of her other mates that is capable. I think the whole soul drain issue made her forget what else may have been going on around her.
