You know I've been thinking about it and while I would still put money on Kevis becoming one of Reah's mates, I could also see him becoming a close friend almost like a brother to her, sort of like the relationship that Lissa has with Charles or Frank. If you think about it she really hasn't had anyone like that in her life yet, she thinks of the other Reptanoids as brothers but they haven't had an active part in any of the books and seem to spend little time around her when she not hurt. If I'm forgetting someone that was that kind of close friend to her please let me know because for the life of me I couldn't think of any
I think Karzac has been a good friend to Reah, he has always looked out for her and gets really angry when the others are not looking out for her (which lets face it is all the time!) As I absolutely love Karzac i'm hoping that his son is like him and does become a mate for Reah as she needs to be looked after more.
Actually, if I were Reah's dad, I would be questioning whether or not a few of these mate connections are truly M'Fiyah. Gavril could easily be obsession from youth. I think Auri, Len, Lok, Nef, and Ry are real. I think Tory's mating falls under different rules based on the thifilathi.
That being said, I am going to sit back and see how Connie tells the stories.
M'Fiyah's are chosen by both parties prior to be reborn (from Conner iirc), this has to make you wonder what exactly these poor girls (Lissa & Reah) did in their previous live(s) to rack up all these mate bonds.
But anywho ... back on topic ... the snippet shows that Reah should start to get some of the help she needs to heal, in my opinion that is a good thing, Kifirin is a little too rough with his toys, he damaged this one, I hope Reah is not broken it would be a sad thing if she has to repaired as a repair is rarely as strong as the original.
