Demon's Dream snippet *Spoiler for Demon's Reveng

Here's a snippet from Blood Resolution, #3 in the God Wars series (yeah, the werewolves are there)

William Winkler looked up from his laptop. He'd been tapping out emails at the breakfast table while he ate scrambled eggs and ham. His dark eyes studied his Second for a few moments while he chewed and swallowed a mouthful of food.
"Get a tag number?" Winkler asked.
Trajan Gibson, all seven feet of him, shook his head in exasperation. "Boss, I know we look dumb, but most of the time we actually know what to do. Here." He passed a slip of paper to the Dallas Werewolf Packmaster. "Trace ran the plates. Car's from Oklahoma. Sold yesterday. No info on the buyer, yet. Paper tag removed, for some reason."
"That doesn't raise suspicions or anything," Winkler sipped coffee. "If it comes by again, have it followed. Discreetly. And call Director Bill. Let him know."
"Will do, Boss." Trajan left the kitchen.

Yea, Winkler and the wolves are back in town!

Am I imagining things or is this some kind of flashback crossover into ashe's series

The following is all theory: Bill Jennings in Shadowed ran to the "bright lady" through the gate. Further theory is that was the Mighty Heart. If my guess is correct, then he had to meet her before Ashe's time. So I am thinking Connie's newest snippet precedes Ashe's series and we are seeing Winkler, Trajan, and group before Ashe's group got going. Anyone think I am on to something or off my rocker?

Does anyone else feel like Kifirin hasn't really been punished at all for everything he's done? Now I know he's the lord of the dark realm and it's in his nature to be a complete ass but he broke his word and that's a big deal to his kind. All he's had to do so far is fess up to what he's done in front of everyone only hurting others in the process. Do you think he could be sent back to the beginning like Thorsten/Thurlow? Or do you think there will be more of a karmic pay back coming his way?
